Notification settings
Control how you want to be notified about work activity.
The system allows notifications to users through two main channels:
- in-app notification (shown in separate notifications list at the top of the application screen)
- email notifications sent through PIQNIC’s outbound email service.
In this tab you can configure your notification preferences. Each event allows you to enable or disable email notifications. In-app notifications are always enabled.
Task assignment (email always on)
Notification about task assignment.
Task active
Notification when a task becomes active as a result of a dependent task completion.
Task inactive
Notification when task is no longer active typically because of the owner’s action.
Task decision dispute (email always on)
Informs you when his task decision is disputed by the owner.
Notification from participants
You are notified on task activity by all or selected participants.
This can be further filtered by activity type:
- Wall messages
- Decisions
- Document contributions.
Task completion
Informs about completion of tasks you own or are assigned to.
Task step change
Notification when a multi-step task moves from one step to the other.
You can choose one of the tasks you own or are assigned to.
Task expiration (email always on)
Provides early notification on expiration of all or selected tasks you are assigned to.
You can choose how far in advance you should be notified (one day, for hours, one hour).
Document subscription
You can create notification alerts whenever documents or files matching your criteria become available in PIQNIC. We call these alerts document subscriptions.
You can define many document subscriptions and they are not applied retroactively for existing documents.
Document version subscription
Document version subscription is initiated from Search Results or Document Detail panels and it is triggered whenever a new version of selected document is created.
In user settings we show consolidated list of these notifications that can be removed.
Email frequency
For non-critical notification, you can choose to delay and consolidate notifications into a single email. That consolidated email is sent either every 4 hours or daily.
This is to avoid excessive number of emails created by system events.
